Styles We
Teach

TaeKwonDo

TaeKwonDo

Is a Korean Martial Art, characterized by punching and kicking techniques with an emphasis on head-height kicks. It is a martial art that attacks or defends with your hands and feet, anytime, anywhere, without weapons. The literal translation for Tae Kwon Do is “kicking” “punching” and “the art or the way”.

Self-defense

Self-defense

Physical self-defense is the use of physical force to counter an immediate threat of violence. Such force can be either armed or unarmed. In either case, the chances of success depend on various parameters, related to the severity of the threat on one hand, but also on the mental and physical preparedness of the defender.

Grappling / MMA

Grappling / MMA

In hand-to-hand combat, grappling describes sports that consist of gripping or seizing the opponent. Grappling is used at close range to gain a physical advantage over an opponent.

Kobudo (weapons)

Kobudo (weapons)

Kobudo was developed on the Okinawan islands of Japan and concentrates on traditional Okinawan weapons such as the Bo, Sia, Tonfa, and Nunchaku. Kobudo practice is included as supplemental training, and the Kobudo weapons are used primarily in demonstrations, self defense training, and weapon katas.

Grand Master Dick Strom Believes:

The ultimate goal of martial arts lies neither in victory nor defeat, but in the perfection of the character of its participants.

Master Gichin Funakoshi

Enthusiasm is not caught, not taught.
